Linda Haddock

JCLC Board President

Hello! My name is Linda Haddock and I am a member of the JCLC board. I am a licensed teacher in special education and elementary education. I have 34 years of teaching experience with 24 of those years spent in early childhood special education. I have five years of volunteer experience at ELC providing literacy enrichment and classroom assistance. I am married and have three adult sons and four grandchildren. Although I am now retired from teaching, I still want to have an opportunity to work with young children and help them develop a love of learning.

Anne Guthrie

JCLC Board Secretary

Hello! My name is Anne Guthrie and I am a member of the JCLC board. I have a BS in Elementary Education from Kent State University and I have my MLS from Indiana University. I am a certified ECRR trainer for early literacy from ALA. I spent a year as a teacher’s aide to 3-5 year olds in Concordia Lutheran Preschool and I also spent 11 years as a children’s librarian/preschool early literacy specialist. I have been married to my husband Larry for 35 years and together we have three, home-educated children. Our daughter Alyssa has a masters from Notre Dame and works for the Ohio Judiciary at the Ohio Supreme Court. Our son Andrew graduated from Purdue and is a helicopter pilot and captain in the Marine Corps. Andrew’s wife Ting recently finished her doctorate in early childhood development and they have our only grandchild, Alexander, who is 5 months old. Our other daughter Abby graduated from Hanover and taught kindergarten in South Korea for a year and is now a freelance tutor for kindergarten through adult there. I strongly believe that the first five years of a child’s life is crucial for his or her intellectual, psychological and social development. I also believe that society should do everything possible to foster optimum environments for all children.

Julie Brummett

JCLC Board Member

Hello! My name is Julie Brummett. I earned a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education and have been working special needs preschoolers for 17 years. Over the years, my work has allowed me to work in the developmental preschools, partner with community preschools and consult with other early childhood agencies and families. I am married to my husband Mark and he has added to my life, two children, three grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. I am excited to be working with ELC, where we share a common vision that early learning matters.

Crystal Huffman

JCLC Board Member

Hello! My name is Crystal Huffman and I am so excited to be part of the JCLC board! I am a proud wife and mother of 2 awesome children. Mason, my oldest attended ELC for 2 years and my youngest, Harper will attend ELC as well. I have an Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Care Administration. Most of my medical experience has been spent in pediatrics. I whole heartily believe preschool sets the foundation for learning; teaching our children in a structured environment where they can learn to share, follow instructions, make friends and develop social and emotional skills. ELC made a tremendous difference in my son and prepared him for Kindergarten in a way that we would not have been able to accomplish on our own.

Tracie Rhynearson

JCLC Board Member

Hello! My name is Tracie Rhynearson. I'm thrilled to be working with the JCLC Board! My husband, Jeremy, and I are the proud parents of two very energetic kids. I have enjoyed spending the last 10 years as a stay at home mom with them and feel very fortunate that I have the ability to do so. Now that they're both in school, I've taken on a new role as a substitute teacher and I love doing it. It's given me a whole new respect for what teachers do on a daily basis. A friend recommended us to ELC and I am so thankful that I listened. Our daughter, Jenna, attended and we were blown away by how much she grew and learned during her year there. Her time at ELC definitely prepared her for Kindergarten. Anytime I hear of anyone looking for preschool, I automatically recommend ELC.
